Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Yohan Song, MD

Yohan Song is a double board-certified ear and skull-base surgeon. He is the founder and CEO of Striode, a company he founded due to the dire need for better therapies for patients suffering from vertigo and hearing loss. He leads the company's mission to restore inner-ear homeostasis through innovative technology and intra-cochlear access. He earned his medical degree and completed Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at Stanford University, followed by a fellowship in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Through Striode, he aims to transform the way we think about and treat hearing loss and balance disorders.

Founding Engineer and Product Strategy Lead

Samuel Chen, PhD, MBA Candidate

Samuel Chen will join Striode in May 2027 as Founding Engineer and Product Strategy Lead. He brings 8+ years of experience in biomedical device development and technology translation to the long-standing clinical challenge of safely accessing and manipulating the inner-ear environment. As a co-inventor of Striode’s core platform for inner-ear fluid exchange and reconditioning, he leads its development from concept through prototyping and testing. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Bioengineering and MBA at the Georgia Institute of Technology. At Striode, he aims to engineer solutions that make the inner ear accessible to new therapeutic approaches.
